I found the Yahoo Search This Blog gadget available on this site and was able to install it on my blog. Thank you. Google Blog search wasn't updating its index for some reason, so articles written 9 days earlier were still not coming up in search results! Yahoo, by contrast, is working just fine.
Is it possible to update the gadget so that it will remain within the blog, like the Google search tool does? Also, is it possible to get the search results in reverse-chronological order (most recent on top)?
