Hello everyone. I have a few questions that hopefully ya'll can help me with. My idea for a blog will involve content that would be subject to people stealing and such, so my first question is about copyright. How do you protect your postings and content on your blog? do you have to copyright each post, or is there a way to copyright all content on your blog? does getting all rights reserved for your blog take care of this? I want to make sure that once I post something, someone cant come along and steal it and claim it as their own.
Also, and I dont want to sound like some jerk that is certain the blog will take off and become some massive success. However, that is always the goal. So, is it safe to host with a site like wordpress, or something of the sort, in the event that the blog becomes very popular? Would I own the rights to it? Or would I have to host the blog myself to reap all the benefits that a successful blog might offer? I keep reading about the upside to hosting your own blog, how you have more control and what not. Is this just in reference to templates and stuff? I'm not so much concerned about the appearance as I am the content.
Some help on these questions will be greatly appreciated.
