How to customize the layout blogger layout

I, Manoj eng student inspired by some of the blog that I came across and now started to build my own blog. Right now I started creating some layout using blogger.com. But I have a problem in customizing it according to my needs.
So I need your help or suggestion to fix it. My question is this.

When I use blogger to post a new article we have too fields one is title and the content. And the post is displayed in the home page.

But, can we do this in new way, I need to post one a portion of that new article in home page and the rest in another page , when user click the article title the link go to a new page and we can view the whole article.
Is it possible to do like that ? Or for example as the title in home page and context in proceeding page.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    <data:post.body/>

This is the code that displays the post content on the home page.So if you don't display this on the home page,[or may be also the label and search pages],then your option 2 will be in action

To hide something or to selectively display something, you can use this guide- Selective Display

Now the summary thing is not possible with default blogger functions. But we can generate a summary of the post using javascript and use it on home page - Automatic post summaries for blogger

Btw i just completed my B-Tech last month!

    Hi

Thank You for the reply, i saw the code you gave. But to be frank , i am not familiar with all this HTML code.

So please let me know where to place that code inside the layout html ? or some where else ?

Please help. I can understand how it works , but don't know how to make it work for each new post i create.

    Thank You

Hi manoj..Im also a student and inspired by blogs and created my own blog, its based on technology gadgets and news.I also had so many problems at first but after a lot of study iam clear with everthing now.Let me help you with your doubt.

When you publish a post.Enter the title in the title coloumn and post content in the content coloumn.Place the whole content in the given space and after finishing, there is an option known as "Insert jump break" above the content coloumn. Now place the cursor between the content where you want to link the post to another page, and click on insert jump break.

Ex:1.I am a web page developer. My clients sometimes also require me to allot a page for writing a blog.

2.They then ask me to develop the blog page in an attractive manner. I did a good job but they were not happy with the blog page. The clients’ wish has to be respected, so I started working on it again.

if you want point 1 in the first page and point 2 in another page, then place the cursor in between point and point 2 and click on insert jump break. Then your first page will appear like this.

1.I am a web page developer. My clients sometimes also require me to allot a page for writing a blog.
